An 18-year-old Venezuelan is recovering at the Scarborough General Hospital after he was stabbed during a fight at the Store Bay Beach Facility yesterday, in an incident that also led to the arrest of another Venezuelan man who gave police a fake name.
Police said Daniel Ortiz of Shirvan Road was liming with a group of Venezuelans around 9.45 a.m. when they argued with a man they had paid to buy drinks. When they refused to give him extra cash for transport, the dispute escalated and several others joined in.
The Venezuelans ran but were chased.
