Effective September 2, 2025, the Department of State will update the categories of applicants who may be eligible for a waiver of the non-immigrant visa interview, a release from the U.S. Embassy in Port of Spain has confirmed.
The general policy is that all non-immigrant visa applicants, including applicants under the age of 14 and over the age of 79, will generally require an in-person interview with a consular officer.
