EVERY year, an average of 12 dead turtles wash ashore on Trinidad’s north coast.
This, according to president of the Las Cuevas Eco Friendly Association Tours (LCEFAT) Arlene Williams, who said most of these turtles died after being caught in a fisherman’s net.
The latest incident happened on Tuesday, when the group was alerted to a leatherback turtle on the shores of Maracas Bay.
