The Public Transportation Service Corporation (PTSC) says it was prepared for this week’s transport disruption, having put contingency measures in place before reduced maxi-taxi services affected commuters.
PTSC General Manager Lieutenant Colonel (Ret’d) Patrick Gomez says the Corporation moved quickly to strengthen its fleet operations, particularly along the East West Corridor, where commuter traffic has been heaviest.
“Yesterday, Monday, it was extremely high, obviously. This morning it seemed a little bit lower, but the demand was higher than normal than we have had for the last couple of weeks. So yesterday we had a very high demand for the services.”
