As he marked his first 100 days in charge of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service yesterday, Commissioner Allister Guevarro said the TTPS has moved from reacting to crime to “outpacing it”.
“(Yesterday) marks 100 days since I assumed command of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. One hundred days of recalibration, and might I dare say, results. One hundred days of confronting fear with facts, inertia with action and doubt with data,” Guevarro told reporters at a news conference at the Police Administration Building in Port of Spain.
The Commissioner said that, between June 18, when he took office, and July 17, the TTPS seized 41 illegal firearms, recovered more than 700 rounds of ammunition, and detected nearly 300 serious crimes.
