The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) advises customers in several parts of North, Central, and South Trinidad that there will be a temporary disruption to their pipe-borne water supply next week, due to essential works being carried out by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant.
The disruption is scheduled as follows:
WASA said T&TEC will execute a critical 20/25MVA transformer installation at the Caroni Arena Substation, located at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant. Consequently, the 66kV bus will be de-energised, requiring a complete shutdown of the Caroni Water Treatment Facility.
