The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in several parts of North, Central and South Trinidad that they may experience a temporary disruption to their pipe-borne water supply due to essential works being carried out by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC).
According to WASA, T&TEC will undertake a critical 20/25MVA transformer installation at the Caroni Arena Substation, located at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant. As a result, the 66kV bus will be de-energised, requiring a complete shutdown of the Caroni Water Treatment Facility.
The shutdown is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, and end at 5 a.m. on Thursday, June 4.
