HEALTH Minister Dr Lackram Bodoe and Diego Martin North/East MP Colm Imbert argued over a $100 million allocation for the Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility (CHMTF) in the 2025/2026 budget.
Imbert also questioned why no funding was provided for hospitals in Arima, Point Fortin and Sangre Grande in the budget.
Their argument played out during deliberations of the Standing Finance Committee of the House of Representatives on October 23 to approve a $7,039,278,291 budgetary allocation for the Health Ministry.
