Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago are mourning the death of a United States service member of Trinidad and Tobago heritage who was among three American military personnel killed in the line of duty in Jordan.
In a statement issued through the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs on Wednesday, Persad-Bissessar expressed the deepest condolences of the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago to the Government and people of the United States, as well as to the families, loved ones and fellow service members of the three fallen soldiers.
The Prime Minister paid special tribute to 28-year-old Sergeant Angel Sarah Rampersad, who, according to information formally provided by US authorities, was of Trinidad and Tobago heritage.
