THE buyers of Trincity Mall are backing out of the half-a-billion-dollar deal, citing a criminal investigation into the sale and potential delays from legal challenges.

The Express understands that the Attorney General has forwarded the file on the Trincity Mall sale to the Commissioner of Police.

On October 13, Justice Kevin Ramcharan granted the Government, represented by Attorney General John Jeremie, an injunction to halt the sale of Trincity Commercial Centre Ltd.
