Missing retiree returns home after alleged kidnapping

A 77-year-old Penal retiree who was reported missing on Sunday returned home on Monday afternoon, telling his family that two armed men had grabbed him outside a pharmacy.

The victim walked into the home he shares with his family home around 12.30 p.m. And although the elderly man did not appear to be physically injured, Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT) member Kesraj Sooknanan told the Express that he seemed traumatised and had difficulty recalling what had happened.

It has been reported to the police that the elderly man’s online banking records showed several withdrawals and transactions between Sunday and Monday, totaling $142,486.80.
