Haiti topped Group C with a win over Nicaragua and CuraƧao won Group B and qualified for its first World Cup, becoming the smallest nation ever to do so, with a population of just 156,115 as of January 1, 2025. CuraƧao secured a 0-0 draw with Jamaica.Ā
Group B runners-up Jamaica will get a final shot at a World Cup spot via a tough playoff in Mexico in March, where they will face Bolivia, the Democratic Republic of Congoāwho defeated both Cameroon and Nigeria in the African playoffsāalong with Iraq, New Caledonia, and another team for two spots in the World Cup.Ā
