Trinidad and Tobago is among a group of countries, joining the United States, and several Latin American nations who have issued a joint statement condemning efforts to destabilise Bolivia’s government.
The statement, released under the “Shield of the Americas” framework, expresses support for President Rodrigo Paz, who was elected earlier this year.
It accuses some groups of attempting to block the delivery of food, medicine, and other essential supplies through road blockades, describing the actions as efforts to undermine democratic governance.
