RAMNARINE Persad has been appointed chairman of the Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Ltd (Plipdeco), as a new 13-member board was installed last Friday.

Vanessa Kussie, the widow of Rishi Nagassar—one of the four Land and Marine Construction Services (LMCS) divers killed in the February 2022 Paria Fuel diving tragedy—is also a member on the board.

The other members of the board are Sieunarine Babwah, Karunaa Bisramsingh, Trevor Joseph, Mulchan Lewis, Ramchand Maraj, Sadia Mohammed, Marsha Padia, Rondell Parsotan, Jonathan Poliah, Indy Samaroo and Jeffery Sookram.
