SAVITA Singh may have won the 2026 Chutney Soca Monarch (CSM) title but in the court of public opinion, she lost yesterday.

Dozens of commenters questioned how Singh had become a contestant in the competition, with many arguing that several contestants had performed better and were deserving of the grand prize of $400,000.

Singh yesterday remained mum on the criticisms except to post a “thank you” message to former champion, Machel Montano, who placed fourth.
