Gabriel Nelson, the 17-year-old who drowned two Sundays ago, was not just an excellent student, filled with promise. He was an inspiration to his peers and a role model to the younger students. He had the ability to get along with everyone, bridging differences and bringing people together.
This was how principal of St Stephen’s College, Nicole Laptiste-George, remembered Nelson.
Laptiste-George was speaking at a funeral service held at Nelson’s home in Tableland last Saturday.
