Land, sea and air searches have been carried out in Mayaro for a teenage boy reported to have drowned while bathing on Sunday.

Gabriel Nelson, 17, of George Village in Tableland, a student of St Stephen’s College, was bathing in the water when he was pulled beneath the surface and disappeared.

The incident occurred at a beach on Eccles Road East in Grand Lagoon.
