The MV Blue Wave Har­mo­ny sus­tained hull dam­age dur­ing a sea tri­al at the Port of Scar­bor­ough on Fri­day.

The ves­sel is in the sea-tri­al phase, which forms part of the process be­fore en­try in­to com­mer­cial ser­vice. Its first sea tri­al took place on Tues­day when the ves­sel sailed from the Port of Port of Spain to the Port of Scar­bor­ough as part of its com­mis­sion­ing pro­gramme.

On Thurs­day, the Blue Wave Har­mo­ny de­part­ed the Port of Port of Spain for a sec­ond sea tri­al to Scar­bor­ough. Dur­ing berthing at the Port of Scar­bor­ough on Fri­day morn­ing, an in­ci­dent oc­curred that re­sult­ed in dam­age to the hull.
