Po­lice of­fi­cers from the Ch­agua­nas Po­lice Sta­tion ar­rest­ed Joshua Gar­raway, the sec­ond pa­tient who es­caped from the Foren­sic Ward at the St Ann’s Psy­chi­atric Hos­pi­tal on Feb­ru­ary 12.

Po­lice said that Gar­raway, 33, who was charged with rob­bery with vi­o­lence, was ap­pre­hend­ed at a house in Ed­in­burgh 500, Ch­agua­nas, on Mon­day. Of­fi­cers said the ar­rest was made with­out in­ci­dent and was in­tel­li­gence-dri­ven.

The oth­er es­capee, 40-year-old Ever­son Hazel­wood, who is charged with mur­der, was re­cap­tured in Ba­lan­dra by an off-du­ty prison of­fi­cer be­fore be­ing hand­ed over to of­fi­cers of the Matu­ra Po­lice Sta­tion on Feb­ru­ary 13. Both men were dis­cov­ered miss­ing dur­ing rou­tine checks by se­cu­ri­ty at the St Ann’s Hos­pi­tal around 5.30 am on Feb­ru­ary 12.
