TOBAGO People’s Party (TPP) political leader Farley Augustine is calling on supporters to get ready for the upcoming Tobago House of Assembly (THA) election.
During a Thanksgiving event at Rovanel’s Resort last Saturday, Augustine cited the Bible parable of the ten virgins and the five who were foolish. He warned supporters to be wise.
“I am saying to you area representatives, I am saying to you action groups, none of us in this room including myself we don’t know at this time when the next election date would be, but I am saying that we know for sure that one would be approaching as Act 40 of 1996. You better get your lamps trimmed and burning. Those who are wise and have their lamps trimmed and burning they would be ready for whenever that day would be. Those who are unwise and would be ill-prepared for that time you would find yourself on the losing end of the stick. So prepare and be ready,” he said.
