TTPS activates security measures over unverified threat report

The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) has ac­ti­vat­ed se­cu­ri­ty mea­sures fol­low­ing an un­ver­i­fied re­port con­cern­ing pos­si­ble threats to em­bassies, diplo­mat­ic fa­cil­i­ties and Gov­ern­ment build­ings.

Deputy Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice, Op­er­a­tions, Suzette Mar­tin, has in­struct­ed di­vi­sion­al com­man­ders to im­ple­ment the nec­es­sary op­er­a­tional mea­sures while po­lice work with in­tel­li­gence and na­tion­al se­cu­ri­ty part­ners to as­sess the cred­i­bil­i­ty of the re­port.

The TTPS said the in­for­ma­tion is be­ing treat­ed se­ri­ous­ly and with the re­quired op­er­a­tional sen­si­tiv­i­ty.
