MinĀisĀter of the PeoĀple, SoĀcial DeĀvelĀopĀment and FamĀiĀly SerĀvices VanĀdana MoĀhit toĀday preĀsentĀed cheques to the ChilĀdrenās AuĀthorĀiĀty of Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo to covĀer reĀcentĀly auĀditĀed outĀstandĀing payĀments toĀtalling $36,039,734.51.
In a meĀdia reĀlease, the minĀistry said the payĀments covĀered long-outĀstandĀing inĀvoicĀes for opĀerĀaĀtional serĀvices and conĀtracĀtuĀal obligĀaĀtions, which it said were esĀsenĀtial to enĀsurĀing the conĀtinĀued deĀlivĀery of care and proĀtecĀtion serĀvices to chilĀdren unĀder the AuĀthorĀiĀtyās care.
The payĀments inĀcludĀed $31,278,765.70 for seĀcuĀriĀty serĀvices proĀvidĀed by varĀiĀous comĀpaĀnies, $2,903,299.85 for works at the NaĀtionĀal Care and EmĀpowĀerĀment CenĀtre, and $1,857,668.96 for janĀiĀtoĀrĀiĀal serĀvices.
