FOUNDER of the Single Mothers Association Shermaine Wickham-Howe says she supports the proposed legislation for mandatory DNA testing in child maintenance cases, but rejects what she calls the “stigmatisation” of women as deceptive or manipulative.
Her comments came a day after Fathers’ Association president Rhondall Feeles held a news conference to disclose findings from a Judiciary-certified DNA diagnostic lab, which revealed that 33% of men tested were not the biological fathers of the children they were told were theirs.
He presented test data from 2020 to September 2025.
