FOOD and shelter are the leading reasons women contact the Single Mothers’ Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SMATT).
So says the association’s president and founder, Shermaine Wickham-Howe, when she was interviewed in Kelly Village last week.
Wickham-Howe said the association she leads has more than 600 members who pay annual dues, and she receives requests for assistance from at least three of those members per day.
