The start of a new school year means heavier traffic on the roads.
The first day back to school brought excitement, but also significant gridlock, as parents, buses and early-morning commuters converged on the roads leading into Bridgetown today.
Commuters were already feeling the squeeze because of diversions at Codrington Road, while traffic on roads such as Waterford was described as particularly heavy.
