The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has expressed condolences following the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on Wednesday, leaving people dead and injured and causing widespread damage to homes and infrastructure.
In a statement issued today, CARICOM said it stood in solidarity with the people of Venezuela during what it described as a time of immense grief.
"The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) expresses deep condolences over the tragic loss of life, the growing number of injuries, and the extensive damage to infrastructure and homes as a result of the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on Wednesday, 24 June, 2026," the statement said.
