Savannah parking ban for Independence

There will be no parking in and around the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain, from Monday morning until Tuesday morning as police have implemented traffic arrangements for the 64th anniversary of Independence ­celebrations.

It is also likely to affect parking for a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) match at the Queen’s Park Oval on Monday.

Speaking at a news conference at Temple Court along Abercromby Street, Port of Spain, on Wednesday, ACP Garvin Henry, who is overseeing the traffic arrangements, said the Savannah would remain a no-parking zone throughout that period.
