A Co­corite man, iden­ti­fied as 41-year-old Johnathan Richard War­rick, was killed in a shoot­ing last night.

Po­lice said he was stand­ing with sev­er­al peo­ple in an area known as “The Swamp” at Eth­lyn Trace in Co­corite at around 9:30 pm when gun­men opened fire on the group.

War­rick was shot mul­ti­ple times and tak­en to St. James Hos­pi­tal, where he was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival. Of­fi­cers re­cov­ered eight 9 mm spent shell cas­ings at the scene.
