Eight persons were arrested, thirteen warrants executed, and quantities of narcotics seized during separate police operations conducted in the Western and South Western Divisions yesterday.
On Saturday 30th May, 2026, the arrests included six persons held during a warrant exercise in the South Western Division, a St. James man arrested in connection with the seizure of suspected MDMA during an anti-crime exercise in the Western Division, and an Arima man who was subsequently charged following a malicious damage incident in Malabar.
Between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., officers of the Western Division Task Force conducted intelligence-led operations in the St. James district. During the exercise, officers searched a blue BMW motor vehicle and discovered a quantity of suspected MDMA, commonly known as “Molly”. The vehicle’s occupant, a 31-year-old man of St. James, was arrested in connection with the find.
