Government convened its first full Cabinet meeting today at the Red House in Port of Spain, alongside an orientation programme for incoming ministers and parliamentary secretaries.
The sessions, which began on May 5 and culminated today, were designed to equip all members of government with the tools and knowledge required to navigate their roles effectively. Topics covered included financial management, state enterprise oversight, public sector investment, and inter-ministerial collaboration.
According to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister, the orientation aimed to ensure “a smooth and informed transition into office,” emphasising transparency, good governance, and efficiency in public service delivery.
