Head of the CrimĀiĀnal DiĀviĀsion, ACP Richard Smith, says as the TTPS conĀtinĀues to inĀvesĀtiĀgate inĀstances where susĀpectĀed poĀlice and DeĀfence Force spent shells are found at crime scenes, sevĀerĀal posĀsiĀbilĀiĀties exĀist as to how marked amĀmuĀniĀtion may end up in such loĀcaĀtions.
One reĀcent case unĀder inĀvesĀtiĀgaĀtion ocĀcurred on the mornĀing of FebĀruĀary 27, when MinĀford AlĀick of Jokhan Trace, CaraĀpo, was shot and killed at a gas staĀtion at the corĀner of the EastĀern Main Road and GoldĀen Grove Road in ArouĀca. InĀvesĀtiĀgaĀtors reĀportĀed that sevĀerĀal spent shells marked āTTPSā were reĀcovĀered at the scene.
In the past, there have been sevĀerĀal inĀstances where spent shells bearĀing TTPS, TT DeĀfence Force (TTDF) and TT RegĀiĀment (TTR) markĀings were found at crime scenes.
