(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport is set to construct a $223 million Multi-Purpose Hall in Mabaruma, Region One, with construction expected to begin shortly.
Minister within the Ministry, Steven Jacobs, joined regional officials on Friday for a site visit to the location earmarked for the new facility, according to the Region One Democratic Council (RDC).
The RDC described the project as another milestone in the government’s push to build modern, accessible facilities across the region. Once completed, the state-of-the-art hall will host a range of indoor sporting disciplines, community events, youth development programmes, and recreational activities.
