LOCAL Government Minister Khadijah Ameen has accused the former PNM administration of a “feeding frenzy” and siphoning taxpayer money through State agencies, including the Rural Development Company (RDC) and work programmes, while the people including the “small man” suffered for work and services.
The Local Government Minister was speaking in the Parliament on the Government’s motion to adopt the report of the Standing Finance Committee.
Ameen claimed the last government used the RDC to fill their pockets and those of friends and family, threatening the credibility of the State agency.
