FOLLOWING last month’s explosion and fire at Ramco Industries Ltd, residents yesterday called for a representative from the company to be assigned to the community.
The residents of Union Hall said it was their community social media chat which assisted them during the ordeal.
They held discussions as they met San Fernando East MP Brian Manning on Tuesday night at Stone Park playground. Manning agreed there should be liaison between Ramco and the residents to deal with requests and provide information. He said he made contact with Ramco before the meeting, but they declined to attend as investigations are continuing into the fire.
