Officers of the Southern and South Western Divisions seized ammunition and cannabis during coordinated exercises on Wednesday.
Between 7:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., officers of the Southern Division Task Force, Area East, conducted an intelligence-led exercise in St Mary’s Village, Moruga. Acting on information received, the team went to a forested area about 400 metres off Poui Road and carried out a search.
During the exercise, officers found 46 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition concealed inside a pair of socks. The ammunition was seized pending further enquiries. No arrests were reported in connection with the find.
