The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has seized more than TT$314 million worth of narcotics in two major intelligence-driven operations this week.
The larger bust came on Wednesday when officers uncovered a massive stash in a remote, forested area off Quarry Road, Palo Seco. Acting on overnight surveillance and intelligence gathered from a previous operation, specialized TTPS units, backed by South Western Division resources, executed a coordinated lockdown of the site.
They recovered 1,177.4 kg of Colombian “Creepy” marijuana in 41 crocus bags (TT$129.2 million), and 117.14 kg of cocaine in five crocus bags (TT$163.2 million).
