Political analyst Dr Vanus James is recommending changes to the country’s constitutional system, arguing that the current framework does not allow citizens routine and meaningful access to the legislative process.
He said yesterday the existing system of governance needs urgent reform, particularly in light of the outcome of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) election held on January 12, 2026.
The election saw the Tobago People’s Party (TPP), led by Chief Secretary Farley Augustine, sweep the polls and win all 15 seats in the Assembly.
