President of the Caribbean Shipping Association (CSA), William Brown, has outlined a three-point plan focused on modernising ports, strengthening regional connectivity and developing the maritime workforce, as the region seeks to build a more competitive and resilient shipping industry.
He made the remarks on Monday during the opening of the Caribbean Shipping Association’s 56th Annual General Meeting, Conference and Exhibition at the Guyana Marriott Hotel.
At the top of his agenda is ensuring that Caribbean ports are adequately prepared to accommodate changes driven by the maritime industry’s decarbonisation transition.
