A high-level delegation from the Magistracy on Friday visited the Lusignan Prison to gain first-hand insight into the prison environment and to understand the operational and administrative challenges faced by the Guyana Prison Service (GPS).
The delegation included Chief Magistrate Judy Latchman, along with the newly appointed Magistrates Ocelisa Marks, Nikkisha Logan, Jimelle Joseph, Shareefah Parks, Taneisha Saygon, and Caressa Henry.
Court Administrator Monique Ifill, Drug Treatment and Mental Health Court Manager Dion Chase, Administrative Officer for the Judicial Service Commission Julianna Hollingsworth and Assistant Protocol and Communication Officer Bhanmattie Ramdial were also part of the delegation.
