(Kaieteur News) – The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced that appointment of Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman to serve the Judiciary of Guyana in the post of Chief Magistrate.
The appointment which was made by the Commission on 7th January, 2025 will take effect from that date. Latchman has in excess of 16 years experience as a magistrate and has served at several tiers of justice system. She is a qualified and experienced attorney who is a fellow of the Commonwealth Judicial Institute and member of the Commonwealth Magistrate and Judges Association as well as the judicial education institute of Guyana.
The JSC also announced the appointment of six new magistrates.
