Crick­et fans at­tend­ing this year's Re­pub­lic Bank Caribbean Pre­mier League (CPL) will be able to ac­cess free health screen­ings at all eight tour­na­ment venues as or­gan­is­ers ex­pand the league's com­mu­ni­ty out­reach be­yond the bound­ary.

The ini­tia­tive, de­scribed as the largest Caribbean health test­ing pro­gramme of its kind, will be rolled out in part­ner­ship with re­gion­al health au­thor­i­ties and non-gov­ern­men­tal or­gan­i­sa­tions through­out the tour­na­ment. Or­gan­is­ers say they in­tend to make the pro­gramme a per­ma­nent fea­ture of the CPL cal­en­dar.

Health pro­fes­sion­als will be sta­tioned at venues in An­tigua and Bar­bu­da, Bar­ba­dos, Guyana, Ja­maica, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lu­cia, St Vin­cent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and To­ba­go, of­fer­ing sup­port­ers an op­por­tu­ni­ty to un­der­go ba­sic health checks while at­tend­ing match­es.
