A 60-year-old grandmother was struck and killed by a speeding vehicle on Saturday night, as she was walking home after making plans to go to church.
Afrose Laloo, who moved to Penal Rock Road six month ago, was dragged along the roadway and died at the scene at around 7.30pm.
The driver of the white Isuzu van did not stop, police said. He surrendered at the Penal Police Station yesterday.
