The three-day Caribbean PubÂlic Health Agency (CARPHA) health reÂsearch conÂferÂence aimed at adÂdressÂing pressÂing health chalÂlenges and seek acÂtionÂable soÂluÂtions gets unÂderÂway here on WednesÂday.
The 69th CARPHA Health ReÂsearch ConÂferÂence will be held unÂder the theme “MenÂtal Health: The HidÂden PanÂdemÂic”, and the orÂganÂisÂers said it will present foÂcused sesÂsions on menÂtal health, non-comÂmuÂniÂcaÂble disÂeases, famÂiÂly health, as well as inÂfecÂtious disÂeases, and nuÂtriÂtion.
“Last year, in St. LuÂcia the conÂferÂence drew 300 atÂtenÂdees, and this year an esÂtiÂmatÂed 400 atÂtenÂdees is anÂticÂiÂpatÂed. This reÂflects the growÂing inÂterÂest in the conÂferÂence which aims to adÂdress pressÂing health chalÂlenges and seek acÂtionÂable soÂluÂtions.
