More than a week after bomb threats to several buildings, including courts and a shopping plaza, triggered evacuations and a widespread mobilisation of security resources, police say the matter remains under investigation.
Last week, Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander said an arrest was “imminent” as various arms of the TTPS continued their enquiries. However, he refused to divulge further information, citing the sensitive nature of the investigation and concerns that disclosure could alert suspects.
Responding to Guardian Media’s questions during yesterday’s weekly TTPS media briefing, TTPS Public Information Officer ASP Owie Russell said the matter was still receiving the police’s attention.
