MINSTER of Homeland Security Roger Alexander said he has “full confidence” in the ability of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) with respect to the investigations of the killing of a municipal police officer in a station and the theft of a cache of firearms and ammunition that were lodged in the station.
Alexander spoke at a news conference held at the Southern Division Headquarters in San Fernando yesterday hours after a security breach at the San Fernando Municipal Police Station on Lady Hailes Avenue where the body of municipal police Corporal Anuska Eversley was found.
Eversley, a mother of three, died from a gunshot wound to the neck and police sources said 62 firearms and 4000-plus rounds of ammunition were missing from the station.
