EIGHT police officers charged with a 2020 triple killing in Morvant—a case that triggered public outrage and protests in several Port of Spain communities—have been committed to stand trial for murder in the High Court.
The committal was ordered on Friday following the conclusion of a sufficiency hearing before Master Margaret Sookraj-Goswami, who ruled that the prosecution had presented enough evidence to require the officers to answer the charges before a judge and jury.
