Trinidad & Tobago Signs Air Services Agreement With Chile At UN General Assembly

Trinidad and Tobago has signed an Air Services Agreement with the Republic of Chile, marking the latest step in the Government’s push to strengthen international air connectivity and expand the country’s network of aviation partnerships.

According to a media release from the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, the Agreement was signed on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, by the Honourable Sean Sobers, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, during the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The Trinidad and Tobago delegation was led by Prime Minister the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar, S.C.

The Ministry said the Agreement establishes the framework for air services between Trinidad and Tobago and Chile and creates opportunities for enhanced connectivity between the Caribbean and South America. It is expected to support the continued development of tourism, trade, investment and closer people-to-people ties between the two countries.
