…says ‘we don’t want to be dominated by foreigners’; regulations being developed
Attorney General and Legal Affairs Minister, Anil Nandlall, on Tuesday urged Guyanese to seize opportunities to gain the qualifications and certifications needed to compete in the country’s evolving economy, noting that they are increasingly competing with skilled and disciplined foreign workers for jobs.
He noted that as the government continues to invest in education, training, upskilling and reskilling the population, it is also pursuing regulatory and legislative changes aimed at ensuring a fair balance between opportunities available to foreign workers and those available to Guyanese.
