107 graduates equipped with skills to pursue employment, entrepreneurship

107 graduates are now equipped with specialised skills to pursue employment and entrepreneurship in some of Guyana’s emerging industries, following the completion of a collaborative training initiative led by the Board of Industrial Training (BIT).

The graduation ceremony was held at the Movietowne Cinemas on Wednesday and forms part of efforts to respond to emerging labour-market demands while preparing Guyanese to capitalise on opportunities within the country’s growing orange economy.

Graduates received training in areas including video production, drone operation, social media strategy, digital marketing, visual design and culinary arts, disciplines that are increasingly relevant to Guyana’s expanding creative, tourism, media and business sectors.
