MANCHESTER, United Kingdom (AFP)—Reggae Girl and Manchester City’s Khadijah ‘Bunny’ Shaw was crowned the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) women’s player of the year for the second time on Tuesday as Manchester United’s captain Bruno Fernandes scooped the men’s award.

Portuguese international Fernandes broke the all-time record for Premier League assists during an outstanding individual 2025/26 season, setting up 21 goals as he surpassed Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne’s previous mark.

The 31-year-old also scored nine times as United overcame a poor start to finish third in the Premier League under Michael Carrick and earn a return to the Champions League.
